Getting Started

First Appointment -- Initial Examination

This appointment is a preliminary clinical examination. At this time, we will indicate preventive measures, treatment, or no treatment. In addition, we will establish a treatment fee and discuss your potential insurance benefit.

Second Appointment --Diagnostic Records

The diagnostic aids include molds of the teeth, facial and intra-oral photographs, and special orthodontic x-rays. This information will enable us to measure the molds, evaluate skeletal structures and develop a customized treatment plan.

Third Appointment --Consultation

In approximately one to two weeks, we will meet to review the findings, recommended treatment options, fees, and payment options. Please feel free to come prepared with any questions you may have.

***The above three steps are just a general outline. For instance, some of the three appointments may be combined if time allows and you are ready to move forward. As you can see, a good foundation when getting started helps insure a great outcome!

***We also understand that there may be more than one option for each patient’s condition, especially for adult patients in need of multi-disciplinary care. While we always encourage the most comprehensive plan, we are sensitive to individual circumstances and concerns. If multiple options exist, we hope to educate you about each choice, discussing the pros and cons and what can be expected in the future.

Insurance and Financial Policies

A beautiful smile and healthy bite is an investment that will last a lifetime. The patient’s cost of treatment varies based on severity, age, and length of treatment. Once a fee for services is established, we will offer a variety of payment options.

We are sensitive to individual circumstances and attempt to work with each family or individual on a case-by-case basis. There is a discount for payment in full at the beginning of treatment. Though, most choose to place an initial down payment and then pay the balance in monthly payments. Our payment plans do not have fees or interest charges. We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard.

We accept, and encourage, insurance. We will handle the filing of claims and make every effort to ensure you receive the maximum benefit to which you are entitled. We will accept assignment directly from your insurance carrier.
